There are three temperature scales commonly used in industry and scientific studies, fahrenheit, celsius and kelvin. Kelvin is an extension of the celsius scale. Kelvin equals degrees celsius plus 273.15. -273.15 degrees kelvin is absolute zero. This signifies the complete absence of heat energy.
